Join us at Weymouth Shellfish Charters aboard our 8 metre catamaran for a unique experience in Weymouth’s beautiful waters. We offer a variety of boat trips from our completely unique Crab pot trip, where you will get to haul crab pots and see and interact with the wildlife in our local waters, to sightseeing trips along the stunning Jurassic coastline.

We offer two main trips but the boat can also be booked privately should you wish to have a more personal experience and we can cater to different locations should the weather allow. Contact us to find out more!

90 min Crab pot experience :
Relax, as we leave Weymouth Harbour and cruise past the beautiful Jurassic coastline on our way out to the fishing grounds…

Once we arrive at the pots the skipper will haul some of the gear to see what is lurking in our local waters! We will pull around 2 or 3 pots on our trip and you will get to see and handle a variety of Marine life before releasing them back into the sea. Whilst we can’t guarantee what we will find, you are likely to see:- Spider Crab, Brown Crab, Lobster, Prawns, Small fish, Scallops and more! Our trip is great fun for children and adults alike.

2 Hour Sightseeing Durdle Door and Portland Harbour
This trip will take you past some of Weymouths beautiful Jurassic coastline to the world famous Durdle Door, known as the drinking dragon!

Relax aboard Drifter on our newly fitted seating whilst we cruise down Weymouth’s historical harbour past the lifeboat station and Nothe Fort and out into the bay.

From here we will cruise along the coastline, past the anchored ships in the bay to our stop at Durdle door. The skipper will get you as close as possible and stop for the chance to get as many pictures and videos as possible (don’t forget to post them to our social media!)

When it’s time to leave we will begin our gentle cruise back across the bay towards Weymouth. If there is time we will stop into Portland harbour on the way home to try and spot the resident Dolphins if they are in the area*
