We’re absolutely loving the look of the outside terrace at Restaurant Les Enfants Terribles on Weymouth Quay. Team this up with superb dishes cooked with love, care and attention to detail by Chef Eric and you’ve got the perfect recipe for an idyllic lunch or dinner on the harbour side.
This coming weekend and over the Jubilee Bank Holiday the restaurant will be open on Sundays and not closed as usual. There’s also a great programme of laid back music to look forward to over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Weymouth Town Council are looking for input from visitors and locals to help shape the future of Weymouth Seafront from The Pavilion to Overcombe Corner … Can you help ?

Here’s Your Chance to Help Reshape the Look and Feel of Weymouth Seafront
www.love-weymouth.co.uk
Weymouth Town Council has appointed consultants Hemingway Design and New Masterplanning to work on plans to enhance the seafront and make it a year-round destination for everyone to enjoy. The team wi...Something to do in the winter that brings revenue, a proper ice rink where the bowling alley was, you could have a weymouth ice hockey team, panto on ice, ice skating discos, foam skating parties, corporate events... All year round
Get rid of the rides on the beach, its getting more like Blackpool these days, we already have the amusements and rides in the Alexandra gardens, and a visiting fare on the pavilion we don't need to spoil our lovely beach with more rides
A splash park for kids like at Christchurch Quay would be great 👍
Build the pier back 😵💫
A really large indoor pool (with flumes!) behind the Pavilion, for people to take their children on wet and windy days but still feel part of the beach holiday. Marvellous views down the coast with cafes, pizzerias etc on top! A sports centre attached would be good and all long overdue!
There are fabulous places in Weymouth ...Greenhill Gardens all along there ,a beautiful beach ...some great eating places ...and then you hit the town centre...don't look up..the buildings are neglected...ithe smell of drains and fried food is at times dreadful...they say we have a Georgian sea front ...bits of it ..but odd bits added on...I love Weymouth but see to the basics first..then add the frilly bits
More stuff for teens to do. A water park on the front, a decent ice rink/curling, clean up the town center by painting and upkeeping the empty buildings, get rid of all the generic black street furniture in favour of bright fun colours. Make it fun, St Albans street should be a prime example used in the town. Fix the paving it's all uneven. Weekly Markets in the square or along the esplanade. Take the buses off the esplanade and use the swannery as a bus station/car park. Open up the green space next to st Mary's church as a picnic area by cutting back the trees and removing railings putting in seating and a coffee cart. Remove the railings on the harbour it's an eyesore people are climbing on them and behind them anyway. Make more of the pier build arcades, small shops and restaurants keep it simple and elegant
I love Weymouth and would love to see something happening to the pier there used to be a cafe and a little icecream booth I have spent many hours there while my husband fished off the end I am sure it could be made attractive again
Been coming to Weymouth for 25 years, the Brewers Walk was great back then, now it's only a shell of a building, am sure it could be put to better use.
As many folks have said, add some refreshment places and seating along the old stone pier- in keeping with it’s age and not tacky. Bring Brewers Quay back to life and thriving like it once was. Maintain the essence of the Georgian seafront and the beach, without garish modernisation. It has always been one of Weymouth’s best features, including the beach and is great for families. Smarten up the town centre. It’s a shadow of my childhood town sadly.
Pier needs to come back - the sea front is beautiful the town Centre needs so much attention!
Been coming to Weymouth for 40+years.. The last 15 or so have been in a motorhome on day visits due to mobility and toilet issues.. So what I would like changed is the fact that Weymouth council have now stopped any motorhome over 6 meters to park on pavilion carpark. Which means we can no longer visit as have no where else to park apart from pavilion.. This is a shame as we brought money to the area and so did our friends. Will no longer be visiting and neither will the rest of the group sadly.. 😢
Dreadful survey - question 11 asks which other areas you visit when you are in Weymouth but it only lets you select one option. Hope you're not paying Hemingway much for this exercise!
Improve the town centre so it becomes a seamless enjoyable journey through the town. The sea front is already lovely. Need to invest in the grotty town centre.
Build a pier. With Amusements,Funfair cafes. Seating and possibly even a bar. Weymouth would be complete.
Be there in 5 weeks absolutely love Weymouth can’t wait 8 hour drive from Scotland isn’t good but worth it when you get there
I haven’t been to Weymouth for years but I did notice what a dump the shopping area was. That did put me of. Turn the shops that are closed back into small seaside shops like it was years ago.
Bring back the Time walk. My husband took me to Weymouth on our honeymoon as I'd never been. He was absolutely gutted it wasn't there any longer, he really wanted me to see it. Start allowing dogs on the beach from the beginning of September not the end. The kids have gone back to school so I can't see why not.
REALLY... Why listen to the locals and grockles now. You changed everything for the Olympics against locals wishes. And now the town is suffering.
I started to do the survey but the answers are so restrictive with no chance to choose more than one option that I gave up as it would not reflect my views.
Doesn`t matter what you suggest, the fate has already been decided ..... this is just their way of saying " well we did ask you " to cover the inevitable backlash !!!!! . Have a nice day :)
Have a cycle lane on the prom.
I love Weymouth, wish I lived there
The questionnaire is that good they need to read this post
You need a comedy carpet like blackpools in front of the pavilion prom section. It contains quotes, of comics past and present old show posters and a real crowd puller.
WOW !!! Stunning shot of Portland Bill taken yesterday 😎
