Weldmar Hospicecare is a charity for people with a life-limiting illness living in Dorset. Our compassionate approach supports patients and their families, medically and in other ways, in the community, in the hospice and at home. All our care is free and reliant on public donations.

At Weldmar Hospicecare we care for people, not just symptoms and illnesses. We take time to focus on what matters to each patient and their family. Each year we support over a thousand people living with the effects of life-limiting illnesses. Our services are provided free to people across Dorset.

We employ nurses, doctors, therapists, social workers, counsellors and a chaplain who work in patients’ homes, the hospice and the community, supported by trained volunteers.

We are a charity and only receive 30% of our funding from the NHS. We rely on donations to continue our work.
