From 16 to 25 September, Inside Out Dorset animates some of the region’s most remarkable landscapes with art and performance. The festival has commissioned a range of artists to respond to Dorset’s natural and cultural heritage alongside a programme of family-friendly circus and performance.
The Festival opens on 16 September with Ray Lee’s monumental Chorus at Portland before moving to the seafront at Weymouth Pavilion on 17 and 18 September. Like UFOs landing at nightfall, these kinetic sound and light sculptures tower above the audience. As they spin, they trace beautiful orbits of light and sing out a hypnoticsiren call to all those present.
