  • Join Weymouth Museum’s Regal celebration on Weymouth seafront for a splendid day of royal revelry as we celebrate the grand tradition of seaside bathing that made Weymouth the first royal resort!

    Step back in time and have some fun!

    Experience the charm and elegance of Georgian England when King George III first took to Weymouth’s waters in 1789, establishing our beautiful resort as the premier destination for royal sea-bathing. This family-friendly event brings history to life with period costumes, fun games, and a chance to follow King George’s tradition of dipping a toe in Weymouth’s refreshing seawater! We’ll also be announcing the winners of the ‘Postcards to the King’ competition!
