Walls Are Talking at Chiswell Community Garden : b-side Festival 2026

Walls Are Talking is a walking trail of photographic trompe l’œil artworks hidden in plain sight across Underhill.

Step into a parallel Portland where memories linger, reality bends and familiar places reveal unexpected stories.

Beginning close to the original home of Portland Fair, the trail winds through Fortuneswell and along Chiswell, leading visitors on a playful journey through an imagined memory lane. Along the way, wallpaper-inspired photographic paste-ups transform walls and public spaces into portals between past and present.

Part treasure hunt, part time-slip, Walls Are Talking invites you to wander, look closely and rediscover Portland through fresh eyes. Another Portland may be waiting just beneath the surface.
