Join Jurassic Coast (UNESCO World Heritage Site) poet-in-residence, Sarah Acton, for a FREE series gentle poetry walk connecting creativity to nature in two Isle of Portland parks. These are run through the Stepping into Nature programme, Dorset AONB. Stepping into Nature events are open to everyone, and suited to adults and older people, and those living with dementia and their carers to access and enjoy our beautiful Dorset landscape, wildlife and culture.
You will find community, inspiration and well-being by spending a morning with Sarah thinking about poetry, reflecting on the landscape and writing your own words. With readings, discussion and brief writing exercises suitable for all ages and abilities…and fun!
https://www.dorsetaonb.org.uk/stepping-into-natureThe walk on Weds 22nd May is 10am-11.30am starting at the bottom main entrance to Victoria Gardens Portland and ending in the park – the distance will depend on participants. There will be plenty of rest stops and pen and paper provided.
There is a walk on Weds 3rd Sept in Easton Gardens Park.
