Weymouth Watersports & Fitness Club is a fun, friendly and relaxed place to try a range of watersports. We’re located on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast between Weymouth and Portland in one of the most beautiful and safe locations for watersports in the UK.

We offer a wide variety of activities including kayak, Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) and windsurfing hire and tuition. We’re the only ASI-accredited SUP school in the area, with qualified coaches to introduce you to SUP in a safe and fun way.

All of our equipment are top-quality brands and maintained to the highest standards.

Our location on Portland Harbour means conditions are always right for at least one of the sports we offer. On calm, windless days there’s nowhere better for a leisurely SUP, but when the wind arrives it’s a fantastic place for windsurfing. Our prevailing wind direction is south-westerly and it provides consistent conditions for wind and kite surfing.

With the Fleet Lagoon just the other side of Ferry Bridge there is usually some calm water even on windy days that’s ideal for kayaking or SUP’ing.

And as the harbour is an enclosed area of water, which is relatively shallow close to shore, it’s the ideal place for beginners at any watersport to get to master a new skill in safety.

When you’re ready to invest in your own gear, we’re happy to advise and have a range of boards and paddles that you can try, to ensure you get the right board for your needs.

We’re not only a watersports company, we’ve got our very own gym – SUPerfit – to ensure you stay in shape even when the sun’s not shining and throughout the summer we offer regular SUP Fitness classes in addition to the standard gym timetable.

We also have an indoor bouldering wall on which you can hone your climbing skills, and with Portland just over the causeway, we’re close to a host of excellent outdoor climbs too. .
