1 Review on “Quayside Music Festival Weymouth Easter 2024”
Years ago Quayside was an all out amazing event, a weekend to look forward to. This was the first Quayside I have been to since before lockdown and I have to say felt it was a let down. Saturday was better, Balance of Power chucking out some absolute bangers of the Classic Rock world, Studio 55 were pretty good and the amazing Finn Leslie who kicked the Saturday afternoon off was epic. Thought I’d venture down on the Sunday as Saturday was entertaining. Just missed the first act but had the unfortunate luck of having my ears chewed up by an outfit called Circus of Thieves. Everyone has likes and dislikes but this band was horrendous to say the least. No drummer, guitar fills/solos clearly played via a backing track and a vocalist that was out of tune throughout most of the set – shouldn’t play live when the band isn’t ready for it. Thank god for Ironhide otherwise I think the place would have emptied. I think the organisers need to make sure they research the performers first as the Sunday was a bit flat compared to the Saturday line up. Well done to Chief Lazarous as well for stepping in at such short notice. Will I venture down again? Maybe, I’ll be sure to check the lineups first though and try to steer clear of the half finished bands.
