Set against the scenic backdrop of the Wey Valley, this weekend offers a rare opportunity to stroll through over 25 private gardens, lovingly tended by local residents and bursting with seasonal colour.

Just a few miles north of Weymouth, Upwey is a picturesque village known for its historic charm and peaceful countryside atmosphere. At its heart lies the Upwey Wishing Well and Water Gardens, where the River Wey rises from the chalk hillside—an idyllic setting that has drawn visitors for generations.
With its pretty cottages, leafy lanes, and rich heritage, Upwey offers the perfect location for a relaxing afternoon out, especially when its gates open to reveal a stunning collection of private gardens, each with its own unique character.

How to Get There
Upwey is easily accessible by car from Weymouth town centre and also served by Upwey railway station, located on the Weymouth to London Waterloo line. A short drive or train ride makes this event an ideal day out for Weymouth visitors and locals alike. The 10 or 10a Bus from Weymouth Kings Statue will get you to within 10/15 minutes of the heart of the village
