Anzac Memorial Weymouth Seafront
The Esplanade
WeymouthDT4 7RN
The service of remembrance is at 11am on Thursday 25th April at the Anzac Memorial on the seafront opposite the Hotel Prince Regent. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Held at Weymouth’s Anzac Memorial, it commemorates the thousands of Australian and New Zealand volunteer service personnel who passed through camps and hospitals in Dorset during the First World War between battles in the Middle East and those on the Western Front in Europe.
The service is open to the wider community to attend, in recognition of the sacrifices made by personnel of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
More information about Weymouth’s Anzac Memorial can be found on the Imperial War Museum’s website
