  • Join The Friends of Castle Cove Beach for Seaweed Shenanigans and celebrate the 5th anniversary of the re-opening of this beauty spot after the new steps down to the beach were constructed.

    A fun variety of of quirky, fun and educational events are planned including information and activities about seagrass, seahorses, eco moorings and the varied uses of seaweed.

    • 12 noon – Festival opening by Samba Panache
    • Sand sculpture competition starts
    • 1:15/1:30pm – Drumming workshop and performance
    • 2pm – Mermaids
    • 2:30pm – Sculpture competition winners
    • 3pm – Choir
    • 3:30pm – Tug of war
    • 4pm – Festival closes
