  • Building upon last years efforts, Nothe Fort Volunteers & Visitors and community groups have been creating a cascade of poppies, all made from recycled bottles. Some poppies have been named in honour of a loved one.
    This incredible display will be installed inside the Fort on the Parade Ground bank and offers a place for personal reflection. It will be unveiled by the Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Kate Wheller, at 12pm on Saturday 11th November.

    Event Schedule:

    10:30am – Gates Open
    11am – Last Post followed by the Nothe Fort Artillery, 2-minutes silence and Reveille
    11:10am – Bovington Military Wives Choir
    12pm – Official opening of the Poppy Installation by the Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Kate Wheller
    12:30pm – Weymouth Sea Cadet workshops
