A swashbuckling afternoon of stories, songs and pirate-themed fun is heading to The Lugger Inn in Chickerell this May as the venue hosts its Moonfleet Young Readers Festival.
Taking place on Sunday 24th May from 1pm to 4pm, the event features author and songwriter Will Adams, who will be promoting his Moonfleet series with readings, live songs and storytelling inspired by the classic smuggling adventures of the Dorset coast.
Families can also enjoy a range of themed activities throughout the afternoon including a Smugglers Treasure Hunt, Arts & Crafts Area and a Fancy Dress Competition, making it a great half-term outing for younger readers and budding adventurers alike.
Food will also be available with an al fresco roast dinner and kids meals served from 12pm to 4pm.
