Wessex Folk Festival returns to Weymouth on 30–31 May 2026 for a weekend of live music, dance, workshops and entertainment around the town’s beautiful South Harbourside and Hope Square.
Entry is completely free, making it a fantastic opportunity to enjoy traditional and contemporary folk music in one of Dorset’s most scenic settings.
This year’s line-up includes Granny’s Attic, The Countrymen, Katie Grace Harris, Captain’s Beard and Threepenny Bit, alongside Morris dancing, traders, food stalls and informal music sessions throughout the weekend.
New for 2026 is The Fringe, featuring additional workshops and performances at Weymouth Drama Club.
Visitors can also support the future of the festival by downloading the festival programme in advance, helping keep the event free while planning favourite acts and performances.
Whether you’re a long-time folk fan or simply looking for a great free day out by the harbour, Wessex Folk Festival offers something for all ages.
