Macmillan Cancer Support wants this year’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to be the biggest ever and is inviting everyone to raise their mugs on Friday 27th September.
The charity is hoping coffee mornings will take place across Dorset attracting thousands of people and is hoping to raise £175,000. In 2012 the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning smashed its fundraising target and raised a record-breaking £15 million across the UK
With the number of people living with cancer expected to double to four million by 2030, for Macmillan to be there for people every step of the way. Macmillan is encouraging more people to make time for a coffee morning. Whether it’s a coffee morning at work, an afternoon tea party with the girls, bacon butty with the boys or a Great British bake off – every donation will help Macmillan achieve its ambition to provide support to everyone affected by cancer
Macmillan’s fundraising manager for Dorset, Chrissie Wathen-Neal said: “We want to make sure no one has to face cancer alone but we can’t do it without the amazing people who fundraise for us. We’re asking people to once again invite their friends, relatives or workmates to come for coffee and help support Macmillan.
“It’s a fun and easy way to raise money to help Macmillan be there for people with cancer and their families when they need us most.”
