WEYMOUTH WELCOMES MOTOCROSS & QUAD BIKES FOR A FREE WEEKEND OF ENTERTAINMENT Sat & Sun 27th & 28TH February 2016
Weymouth’s impressive annual events programme is preparing to roar to a START of 2016 as it plans to host it’s first thrilling weekend of top class beach racing. This all action motoring event promises to attract huge crowds and generate a successful boost to the trade throughout the area during the traditional off-peak season.
Weymouth Beach race spokesperson said: “The Weymouth Beachrace is now in it’s third year & is growing year on year! There will be competitors from the age of 6 years old to 72 years old travelling from all over the UK and a number of international competitors. ”
The Organisers will be working with the local community & businesses to leave a positive footprint & increase the visitors to Weymouth at this normally quiet time of year!
There will be a number of Exhibitors including the Dickies Workwear , Hot Tubs, Local Cider, ITP Tyres, IPONE
The event is raising funds for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Service.
This event will be action packed with Motorbikes, Quadbikes which can all be viewed free of charge from the esplanade.
Weymouth will look forward to welcoming the Weymouth Beach Race, the riders and support crews for what promises to be a roaring success for the town!”
British Army Motorcycle Enduro rider Kev Murray has confirmed that he will be competing in this years event on the fine Dorset Sands on the weekend of February 27th & 28th with the Support of the Army Team. After a fantastic 2015 season with the Army Team Kev will be hoping for another podium position in the Pro Class which was a close fought battle at last years event on Weymouth Beach!
As the Official Weymouth Beach Race builds up momentum to its international event in February, it hosts a range of extreme displays, live music and of course racing it is sure to be a great weekend for all the family! With international exponential expansion.
Classes for the weekend include:
Saturday’s Racing:
Adult Solo: Expert, Clubman, Sportsman and Over 40’s
Youth Solo: 65cc, 85cc and 125/250cc
Sunday’s Racing:
Adult Quads:Expert, Clubman, Novice, 4X4 and Over 40’s
Youth Quads: 65/110cc, 85/150cc and 125/250cc
