We recently discovered this really interesting video produced by Bournemouth University student Sam Getliffe in which he reports on the effect of The Olympic Games eight months on from when the sailing world’s eyes were on Weymouth and Portland.
There clearly were winners and losers locally but one thing seems for sure and that’s that across the world more people were introduced to our town and it’s beautiful coastline than have ever been before thanks to the world’s sporting media.
Some interesting observations here from a few local characters here and a general feeling of optimism that Weymouth and Portland has a new golden age on the horizon …
