Condor Ferries is making final preparations for its first sailing from Weymouth, with 70,000 guests now booked to travel through the port over the coming months.

Condor Vitesse will be welcomed back to the port tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday 16th July) in preparation for the first sailing from Weymouth in 17 months, which will be departing for Guernsey and Jersey on Wednesday morning. The Love Weymouth team will be on the first trip out of Weymouth to take a day out in Guernsey. These day trips have always in the past been a great addition to the Weymouth visitor experience. We’re grateful to Condor Ferries for giving us the opportunity to experience the first voyage for 18 months and will be posting info about what to expect on a day trip along with lots of pictures on our return.

Alicia Andrews, Sales and Marketing Director at Condor Ferries, commented: “We are excited that sailings from Weymouth with start again in the next day or two. We’ve seen bookings to travel through the port increase from 30,000 four weeks ago to 70,000 today, a sure sign that our guests are looking forward to the return as much as we are.”

Condor Vitesse returns to Weymouth Harbour this Tuesday and you can  join Mayor of Weymouth & Portland  Councillor Ray Banham and local schoolchildren as they wave the flag for Weymouth from the harbourside at 3.30pm on Tuesday to welcome her.

Although demand is already high for Condor Ferries’ summer crossings from Weymouth, spaces are still available for booking.
