With the clocks going forward tonight we thought it would be fun to turn the clock back to so scenes around Weymouth back in the 1950s and 60s captured in the black and white cine film clips. Despite the passing of nearly 70 years in some of the shots and them being in black and white much remains unchanged and will be recognisable even if you weren’t around at the time.

Wow amazing. My auntie and Uncle lived in Weymouth in the 1950s and we would go and stay with them twice a year. Happy memories
Born in the hotel Mon Ami in 1949 mother run the hotel , father had the boat and float pitches on the beach watching this brought back so many happy nostalgic memories. Oh to have those wonderful years back again and of course the infamous Fred Grey on the door of the Stiringwheel club so many loves and friends .
