SEAFEAST – The Dorset Seafood Festival takes place over the weekend of the 9th & 10th September 2023 at the Weymouth Peninsula and ticket sales have increased 180% on this time last year! Organisers are delighted to share that the Festival is more popular than ever with weekend tickets soaring through the roof and nearing capacity.
Festival directors have been working with new sponsors and expanding on some exciting new features in particular the Badger Brewery Beer Garden and a bigger and better music stage experience. More announcements are coming soon.
The Festival plays host to seafood stands that use sustainably sourced seafood, working closely with the Blue Marine Foundation (Blue Marine) to ensure there is a focus on restoring the ocean to health and to support local, low impact fisheries. The two stages feature some of the county’s top chefs with crab cracking, Dorset sparkling wine pairings, Badger Beer and cheese pairings and much more.
Kids under 16 go free with any paying adult and there are tons of fun activities, including the iconic – Kid’s cookery school!
The Festival also raises money for the Fishermen’s Mission, a charity close to the town’s heart – with just under £90,000 raised to date.
