The Ocean Hotel and Spa Retreat, at Southwell on Portland, has just been awarded a prestigious four star rating by Quality in Tourism which provides the official assessment service on behalf of Visit England, the national tourist board for England.
The presentation of the Four Star Certificate was made by Jeremy Pope, O.B.E., DL., today, Wednesday 8th January 2014.
This tremendous accolade recognises the achievement of high professional standards, superb hotel services and facilities provided for guests, service and hospitality of the hotel staff, the quality of the welcome, the standard of food and cleanliness.
The Ocean Hotel and Spa Retreat has now become only the second four star rated hotel between Seaton in Devon and Sandbanks, near Poole; the other four star hotel being in West Dorset.
The hotel is excited to have achieved such a prestigious rating, which Simon Ainsworth, General Manager, his entire management team and our superb staff have strived so hard towards. The hotel’s guest comments book and reviews of the hotel and spa contain many wonderful tributes and are proof of the very high standards maintained.
The formal recognition from Visit England is the professional accolade which provides confirmation of the superb four star service and facilities that our guests can expect during their visit and underlines the hotels top quality 4 star facilities that are now available for the first time ever for visitors to Weymouth and Portland.
