Weymouth Museum Trust is putting together an exhibition entitled ‘A World First in
Weymouth – A football exhibition’ to coincide with the FIFA World Cup being held
this year. The exhibition will tell the remarkable story of Pat Dunn – the first female Football Association referee, who came from Weymouth, as well as focusing on local
football in the Weymouth area.

If you have any football memorabilia (shirts, scarves, programmes, mugs, toys etc.)
and/or stories relating to both men and women’s football in the Weymouth area,
then the museum would love to hear from you.

On Saturday 2 May from 11.00am until 2.00pm the museum is holding a drop in
event at its Pop-Up Museum, 39b St Thomas Street, Weymouth, DT4 8EH.

Anyone who would be willing to loan items and/or tell your stories is welcome to
come along and chat to members of the museum. If you are unable to attend but
would like to help, then please email weymouthmuseum@outlook.com
