News is just in that The Weymouth BID will be promoting a new six week long Weymouth food event starting in October 2014.
It is anticipated that pubs and restaurants around the town will be encouraged to put on fixed rate menus at various costs, £10, £15 and £20 have been mentioned, over the six week period. This will give visitors and locals alike the opportunity to sample the wide choice of menus around available around the town whilst being able to keep an eye on their budgets at the same time.
Information is a little sketchy right now as the event has only just been announced but we’ll have more updates here as they become available.
The Weymouth BID have for some time now been saying that they would be mounting an out of season advertising campaign in September with their new branding and this could be the event that will benefit from it although this is still to be confirmed.
