Dennis and Thelma Spurle spent their 60th Wedding Anniversary as VIP guests at Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower in October. After their wedding in 1953, they chose Weymouth as their honeymoon destination after booking a caravan for just £4!
couple, from Torquay in Devon were welcomed to the Park and were treated to a VIP guide, lunch in the ‘Adventurers Grill’ and were able to get up close and personal with the penguins, seals and turtles. They were then treated to a VIP flight on the Tower, overlooking Weymouth and the Jurassic Coast.
Thelma said: “Thank you seems a very inadequate word to express our gratitude to all at Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park and Tower for making our Diamond Wedding day so very special.”
“You gave us a day we will always remember, the warmth and kindness of all concerned was, and is appreciated as were the gifts. We felt like VIP’s, made extra special for being so unexpected.”
Staff at the Park wrapped presents for the couple and handed to them on their departure to the Tower. Thelma loved her Sea Life themed apron so much that she wore it for photographs when opening presents at their party with friends and family!
Dennis and Thelma are already planning their next trip to Weymouth and have said they will undoubtedly return to visit the Weymouth SEA LIFE Adventure Park and Tower.
2013 has seen many occasions celebrated at the Park including special birthdays, two proposals and special wedding anniversaries.
