We took time out today to visit The Chickerell Steam and Vintage Show and as usual it was a joy to visit with a huge range of exhibits to see ranging from classic steam rollers to vintage cars and agricultural equipment.
Throughout the day there was plenty to see in the main arena. We watched the Chickerell Challenge a truly bonkers event that involved two teams, a tractor, bales of hay, a telegraph pole and pints of beer and pork pies!
The well stocked beer tent was kept busy  with live music on the nearby stage. The show continues tomorrow (Sunday) and  the good news is the weather forecast looks good.
This really is a lovely event only 15 mins drive out from central Weymouth and we’d definitely recommend it as a good day out for all the family.
