  • Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens has launched a children’s trail inspired on real life plant explorer Roy Lancaster.

    The new trail at the Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, follows ‘Lancaster The Explorer’ on a journey to discover plants from across the world. The new activity trail highlights and educates children and families on the world of plants, with interesting facts, stamp points and even an explorer’s hut!

    The ‘Lancaster The Explorer’ character is based on Roy Lancaster, one of British horticultures most loved figures. With decades of plant hunting, gardening and broadcasting, Roy is the perfect inspiration for a new generation of mini explorers.
