Facial Reconstruction Half Term Kids & Teens Workshop

Got a young explorer at home with a fascination for science, anatomy, history, bugs, bones or discovery? This hands-on Facial Reconstruction Workshop offers a fun and creative way for children and teens to explore how experts rebuild faces from skeletal remains using real science and imagination.

Led by Bugs, Bones and Botany, the session will introduce participants to the fascinating world of facial reconstruction through interactive learning, demonstrations and creative activities. No experience is needed — just curiosity and a love of discovery!

During the workshop, attendees will:

• Learn how skulls help shape our faces
• Explore facial features and tissue depth
• Discover the science behind reconstructions
• Try out tools used by experts
• Ask questions and explore fascinating rabbit holes

The session also includes a short PowerPoint presentation exploring the history of facial reconstruction, along with hands-on activities throughout the afternoon.

Water, squash and biscuits will be available during the workshop.
