SandWorld Sand Sculpture Festival

SandWorld’s incredible sand sculpture festival in Weymouth returns for the 2026 season, showcasing breathtaking, larger-than-life creations crafted by talented sand sculptors from around the world.

The attraction opens daily from Saturday 28th March 2026 – Sunday 8th November at Lodmoor Park, welcoming visitors to experience the UK’s only sand sculpture festival.

This year’s event features an exciting new collection of giant sculptures, including crowd favourites like Shrek, immersive Minecraft scenes, a special piece inspired by BBC’s The Traitors, alongside stunning animals and original artworks. Created using over 2,000 tonnes of sand – the equivalent of 1,290 cars – each sculpture is crafted using nothing but sand and water.

Visitors can also discover a unique connection to Weymouth’s sand sculpting heritage, with SandWorld continuing a legacy inspired by Fred Darrington, whose work helped put the town on the map as a global destination for sand art.
