Saturday 23 August In honour of legendary sculptor Fred Darrington, Weymouth Sand Sculptor Mark Anderson’s Grandfather ☀ Sandworld Sand Sculpture Festival – Weymouth are running a competition celebrating 100 years of sand sculpting Heritage in Weymouth and everyone’s invited to take part!

10.00 AM – Fred Darrington Sculpture Unveil
10.30 AM – Live Sand Sculpting Demonstration
11.00 AM – Sandcastle Competition Begins
12.30 PM – Judging, Public Viewing & Prize Giving

Best Aged 5 – 10 entry
Best Aged 11 – 16 entry
Best 17 and over entry
Best Family entry
Every sandcastle or sand sculpture entry receives 1 FREE ticket to Sandworld (Maximum 1 ticket per person)
This is a free community event supported by We Are Weymouth UK – just bring your creativity, a bucket, and spade!
