  • Over 20 Gardens Open in Upwey next weekend – with scarecrows!

    On 29 and 30 June gardens in Upwey will be open to the public. There’s a range of gardens on display, from the highest garden in Weymouth, with views to Portland and the sea, to gardens surrounding grand houses with lakes and mazes, cottage gardens and wooded and shady valley gardens.

    There’ll be teas in the grounds of Mill House in Church Street, vintage cars, craft stalls, Pimms and ice creams.
    The event coincides with Upwey’s annual scarecrow competition, so visitors to the village may come across strange stuffed creatures dotted about.

    Entry £5 per adult, covers both days. Tickets from car park in Church St and other locations around the village.
