Ideally situated on the prestigious Georgian Esplanade overlooking Weymouth’s award winning sandy beach and magnificent, gently sweeping sea bay, our hotel the perfect base from which to explore the UNESCO designated World famous Jurassic Coast, and the local Dorset area.

This magnificent grade 2 listed Georgian building combines heritage architecture and period charm, offering breathtaking uninterrupted sea views from the triple aspect windows of the breakfast room and balcony lounge area, as well as some guest bedrooms, together with some Art Deco style.

Each guest bedroom is individually styled to express different facets and interests in the life of T.E. Lawrence, better known to the World historically as Lawrence of Arabia. Lawrence came to live in Dorset for the last few years of his life until he died in 1935 and was buried in the area. Our unique theme celebrates his history, his friends and associates known throughout his lifetime, including many famous authors, artists, poets, politicians, aristocrats, Kings and Queens, as well as family members, neighbours and fellow servicemen.

We offer five tastefully themed rooms that have been individually styled available with a further six rooms currently being refurbished and upgraded that will open later this year. We plan to expand the hotel facilities to include a tea room and bar which will be open to residents and non-residents in the near future.

There is no on-site parking, the nearest 24 car park is the Swannery Car Park.
