Weymouth and Portland quite rightly calls itself “The Eventful Resort” with something for everyone taking place most weeks throughout the year. We’re also conveniently located centrally on the south Dorset coast which makes us an ideal place to stay if you want to get out and about and visit events in other parts of the county.

Flagship events such as Weymouth Carnival, Dorset Seafood Festival, Fair in the Square, Wessex Folk Festival and The Weymouth Beach MotoX attract thousands of visitors to the resort each year but you’ll also find plenty of other things going on most weeks including live music in our pubs, arts and sporting events.
We know that many of our visitors base themselves in Weymouth and Portland and like to get out and about throughout Dorset so with that in mind we also list events further afield in Dorset.
