The countdown is on for this year’s Weymouth Beach Motocross and organisers are delighted to announce one of Weymouth’s premier manufacturing companies situated on the Granby Industrial estate ‘Weymouth Precision Engineers’ as this year headline sponsor.

This high-flying extravaganza over humps and bumps will be held on Weymouth beach on Sunday October 15th with bikes entering the sands from at 12 noon for practise laps. There will also be a demonstration on Saturday 14th October from 3 pm.

Managing Director of Weymouth Precision Engineers Dave Wilson expressed his delight to be able to support Weymouth & Portland Lions Club in delivering this year’s Beach Motocross.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE ESPLANADE AND PART OF CUSTOM HOUSE QUAY, WEYMOUTH
FOR WEYMOUTH BEACH MOTOCROSS 2023

DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along part of The Esplanade and part of Custom House Quay, Weymouth (in both directions). It will come into operation between 0800hrs – 1700hrs on Sunday 15 October 2023. The Notice is valid for a maximum of 5 days. This Notice is required to facilitate the arrangements in connection with the Weymouth Beach Motocross.

The road fronting Devonshire Buildings will be open for access only.
Traffic will be re-routed through the one-way system around Alexandra Gardens to continue on The

Esplanade, or can use Pilgrims Way for access to Custom House Quay
