Southern Sinners. A Dynamic, Powerful Rock Band covering new and old Whiskey soaked Southern and Modern Rock with a dash of originals are often to be found gigging in venues around Weymouth.
An idea floating around the mind of local guitarist Grant Day to bring to music lovers in the UK the power and pure energy of modern and legendary Southern Rock music from bands such as Blackberry Smoke, Whiskey Myers to Lynyrd Skynyrd , came to a reality as within weeks of the idea, the band was formed and ready to rehearse.
Members of the band, Rob Davis – lead vocals, Grant Day – guitar, backing vocals, Steve Rossant – guitar, Phil Evans-Jones – bass guitar and Tim Wheeler- Drums ,soon realised the potential for original material was imminent with such a line up and started to include these in the set.
“We all have a love for southern rock music and wanted to form a band that played not only covers from this genre but also our own stuff” said Grant.
” The other guys in the band are all writers too so that was never a problem and was always going to happen” ” We just love to play and playing our own music combined with the music we love has been a fantastic experience for us all” he continued.
All members of Southern Sinners have toured with various acts and have trod the boards for many years, they all feel this project will grow and will be well received from fans of this genre as well as live music lovers everywhere.
