Resident short-clawed Asian Otter Johnny and his pups received a special sleigh full of goodies over the weekend from Father Christmas who is visiting Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park, with toys and treats galore for them to enjoy!

The sleigh is currently in their pen where visitors to the Park can watch them playfully interact with each other and their Christmas presents such as soft balls, puzzles and fish treats.

Displays Curator at the Park, Fiona Smith said: “Our Otters are very thankful to Father Christmas. As he is currently visiting Weymouth Sea Life, he has agreed they can unwrap them now.”

She continued: “The toys bring out their individual characters for visitors to observe and are a stimulating activity for them to enjoy. Even though Johnny is top ‘dog’ his cubs certainly have been putting him through his paces!”

Father Christmas officially arrived at Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park on Saturday 7th December and had a busy weekend of visits. He has popped back to the North Pole this week to check on progress but will be back for day time and evening visits from Saturday 14th December until Christmas Eve.
