For as long as we can remember Weymouth Carnival has been held on the third Wednesday of August and the highlight of the day on almost every year over the past more than 30 has been a spectacular display by the RAF Red Arrows over Weymouth Bay , said to be one of their favourite natural arenas for the show.

The last display took place in 2017, in 2018 due to commitments elsewhere they weren’t able to visit Weymouth then sadly in 2019 Carnival was cancelled and this year naturally due to Covid-19 it hasn’t been resurrected.

The good news is that Weymouth now has a new revitalised Carnival Committee rearing to go with exciting plans and ambitions but with a change to dates from the traditional third Wednesday to Friday 13, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August 2021,  we wish them well.
