Why all the Negativity? As a new resident to the town I think They’re great
Was in Weymouth last night. Was very sceptical but they actually look quite good especially looking across from the Pavilion.
In case you were wondering, the final cost of this project was £265,000, lovely job.
They were on the other night while we took the baby for a drive , they looked lovely , the pavillion was all lit up to it all matched , looked really nice xxx
Lights no lights they aren’t for the local they are for the holidaymakers. Personally I would prefer the council to stop wasting cash on lights on the sea front and leave it to the natural beauty of the sea and the beach. The money could be better spent on providing services to the residents / council tax payers.
Thought this was a traditional seaside? My mistake. Let's have something that looks completely futuristic. Good one council.
I don’t get why everyone’s going on about Xmas so early on in the year I mean it’s surely got to be April 1st with this pile of rubbish the council have now come up with!!!Surely that money could go to something far far more productive than bloody more crappy lights
Oh my goodness, I can’t wait to see them, oh dear, I’ve just remembered I have to watch some paint drying tonight! £265,000.00. What planet are the council on!!
Should look perfect cost 265'000pounds xx
Weymouth I just love you.
this not what the people of Weymouth wanted, so the public consultations were for these lights...dont thinks so, once again exactly what is happening around the Pavilion peninsular, what do the residents have to do to convince councilors to implement what the residents want .
I hope they are going to remove the previous hideous posts as at the moment the esplanade looks like a street furniture jungle.
They are not FAIRY LIGHTS, are the council stupid, how many times do we have to tell them !!!!!!!!!!
And Where's the good news???
bring back traditional seaside lights !!!
How many of us council tax payers agreed to our money being spent on this ? I think all those councillors who chose to ignore our wishes and voted for it should reimburse us out of their own pockets !!! 🤬
more plastic party stix bollox. What ever was the matter with fairy lights? It's a Georgian town not a rave.
I saw them tonight was not that impressed.
How to destroy a unique beautiful Georgian Esplanade for £265.000
It's to celebrate Christmas and yang bogi doogy fooky Festival of upgoing lights for the Hebrew population I believe
Just seen them and ❤️ them. Think they need to turn the different colour upright lights out on the laser posts now as they don't look right next to them
Wow they look amazing
I feel Weymouth has lost its identity. It’s really sad.
But they are still not the type of lights the town's residents have asked and campaigned for
Omg, just get over it please people, it's just lights!! That string lighting was awful and outdated,I can't believe people still have a bee in their bonnet about it, pfft
