To mark its anniversary, The Apartment (1960) returns to the big screen in stunning 4K restoration, offering a fresh look at this timeless classic. C.C. Baxter, a mild-mannered office clerk, climbs the corporate ladder by lending out his small apartment to his superiors for their extramarital affairs. Among them is his heartless boss, J.D. Sheldrake, who unbeknownst to Baxter, is using the apartment to seduce Miss Kubelik, the elevator operator Baxter has long adored from afar. When Sheldrake callously dumps the vulnerable woman, she attempts suicide in Baxter’s apartment, forcing him into a life-altering decision: save the woman he loves, even if it means risking his job and his future.

The film has been meticulously restored in 4K from the original 35mm picture negatives by Park Circus, in collaboration with Metro Goldwyn Mayer, bringing new vibrancy to Billy Wilder’s sharp, heartfelt romantic comedy.
