The Wessex Folk Festival which takes place on Weymouth Harbourside at the beginning of June has in recent years developed into one of Dorset’s premier music events and a mecca for lovers of folk music and dance.
Entertainment over the three days of the festival is primarily free with performances on open air stages on Weymouth Quay and in Hope Square.
A number of pubs along the harbourside also join in the fun of the weekend hosting more intimate sessions.
