This is a walking tour around the Old Harbourside and Nothe Gardens telling the history of Weymouth and Portland from the Stoneage to WW2.
Come and learn about the history of this popular seaside holiday resort in a fun and educational guided tour. We cover the history of the area from it’s first settlers back in the Mezolithic Stoneage, through the Bronze and Iron Age, and the Roman invasion of Britain in 43AD, and on through the Dark Ages and Viking raids to the medieval period and beyond.
