Join Nothe Fort for an afternoon special performances by both The Decadettes, and ‘A String of Pearls – Stories of WW2’ by AsOne Theatre to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day!
SUNDAY 4 MAY
The Fort will be Open from 10:30am – 4:00pm
SHOW TIMINGS:
– The Decadettes First Set 1:15pm – 1:45pm
– A String of Pearls by AsOne Theatre 2:00pm – 3:15pm
– The Decadettes Second Set 3:15pm – 3:45pm
THE DECADETTES
The Decadettes will be returning to the Fort to sing us through the decades of Wartime Britain, and will also be featured in the afternoon performance of ‘A String of Pearls’ by AsOne Theatre.

A thrilling string of story-vignettes by AsOne theatre company devised from letters and emails received from women who lived through WW2.
The working trailblazers, and the homemakers; the brave, frightened, innocent and worldly-wise – all with something in common, an indomitable spirit. From the announcement of war to victory in Europe and declaration of peace.
A mix of community, and professional performers will evoke a roller coaster of emotions and experience with 40’s music, interwoven as “A String of Pearls”. Grains of Hope – a Ukrainian youth group will also join the performance.
LOCATION
This performance will be outside in the Parade Ground of Nothe Fort, so please dress appropriately for the conditions. We hope to have a street party atmosphere and a nice sunny day.
We will update in case of any inclement weather.
TICKETS
Both events are FREE with your Annual Pass/General Admission ticket price. No need to book!
Nothe Fort is dog-friendly, so bring the whole family!
ABOUT VE Day
Victory in Europe Day, known as VE Day, marked the end of the war in Europe and WWII as a whole on 8th May 1945.
