Would you like to celebrate Christmas in full steampunk style?
The Royal Hotel, Weymouth opened in 1899 so is the perfect venue for a reimagination of a steampunk Christmas. We are delighted to be working with Weymouth BID, and Bespoke Hotels to offer a totally different Christmas occasion for Weymouth.
Steampunk is a creative reimagining of our Victorian past but with a science fiction twist. Imagine if Jules Verne or HG Wells had hosted a party for Christmas. It is certainly a fantastic way to kick off your Christmas.
This is definitely a dress to impress occasion. Put on your finest gowns and smartest outfits to enjoy an evening of socialising, music and enjoyment in true Victorian style but with an anarchic steampunk twist. You will be greeted with mulled wine in festive fashion and we have a buffet for you to graze upon (dinner dances are so 1930s you know). The evening will close with coffee and mince pies to fortify you on your way home. First and foremost though this is an evening to see and be seen at.
Our special guest is Mr Marc Burrows, award winning author, musician, singer and comedian. With hosting by those folks from the Ministry of Steampunk there may even be the odd Victorian parlour game.
Tickets are strictly limited to just 100 guests. Be sure not to miss out and get planning and preparing your outfit whether you want to “swing a kilt” or astound in a luxurious gown. Please note however that large accessories, props and steampunk weapons have no place at a glittering social event. Thank you. We are sorry but this is an adult event and guests must be at least 16 to attend.
