The Dorset Seafood Festival is thrilled to announce the return of the iconic Champagne Pommery brand as a sponsor for this year’s Festival! Pommery is a global player when it comes to making fine wines and is now making waves this side of the channel in the world of English Sparkling Wine. Launching Louis Pommery England in 2018, Champagne Pommery will bring this award-winning English sparkling wine to the Dorset Seafood Festival creating the Louis Pommery England Wine Garden.
The festival, renowned for its celebration of fine UK seafood and local produce, takes place on the 7th & 8th September 2024, and the addition of this sensational English sparkling wine is the perfect pairing.
Louis Pommery England is made at the Pinglestone Estate in New Alresford and is leading the way with the viticultural revolution. Pinglestone Estate employs eco-friendly practices that align perfectly with the ethos of the Dorset Seafood Festival. The estate’s dedication to maintaining biodiversity, reducing carbon footprint, and enhancing soil health ensures that every bottle of Louis Pommery England is not only of the highest quality but also produced with respect for the environment.
Pinglestone Estate’s head winemaker, Will Perkins will take the stage across both days of the Festival, offering a taste of the fine wines, accompanied by long standing wine icon, Susy Atkins. Susy writes a wine and drinks column in the Sunday Telegraph and is Drinks editor for Delicious Magazine. Louis Pommery England has just launched its first rosé which will be available for tasting at the Festival and is already causing a stir with wine aficionados.
You can find Louis Pommery England at the new and improved Louis Pommery England Wine Garden. The wine garden this year features a stunning tipi tent from Coastal Tents as well as beautiful plants, shrubbery and flowers from Goulds Garden Centre – the perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass (or bottle!).
Finally, adding to the Wine Garden’s allure, festival sponsor Weyfish will present both an oyster bar and a lobster bar in the Garden, perfectly complementing the refreshing Louis Pommery England sparkling wine.
Sara Hicks, Director for Vranken Pommery UK, expressed her fondness for the festival: “We are absolutely delighted to return to the Dorset Seafood Festival.
