Weymouth’s number one heritage attraction, Nothe Fort, is hosting a celebration fit for a King with a Coronation Festival complete with live music from local bands and lots of family fun activities. The event will take place over each day of the bank holiday between 10:30am-4pm.

Nothe Fort is the place to be on the 6th – 8th May and invites you to join their Coronation Festival accompanied by the astonishing voices of the Wessex Musical Theatre, the Bovington Military Wives Choir and the Dorset Wrecks.

The outstanding Fort View Caf̩ cream teas are back for the celebrations (vegetarian and gluten free options available) Рwhy not come and sit at our street party table where you can dine and chat!

You can also check out a thought-provoking installation on our North Terrace, ‘A Crown Fit for the Future’, a giant modern crown made using recycled perspex. This sculpture has been created by a local artist, inspired by the momentous occasion.

It wouldn’t be a Fort visit without a fun trail to follow! And to top it all off, have a go at crown making, or enjoy some fun lawn games.

Band Set Times:
Saturday 6th – Wessex Musical Theatre (11:30am – 3pm)
Sunday 7th – Bovington Military Wives Choir (11:30am – 1:30pm)
Monday 8th – Dorset Wrecks (12pm – 2pm)

We will also be live streaming the Coronation on Saturday 6th May. It will certainly be a weekend to remember and make you so excited to say, ‘I celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III at the Nothe Fort!’

Entry to the Coronation Festival is covered by your General Admission/Annual Ticket price.
