At a special meeting of Weymouth and Portland Borough Council’s Management Committee last night the decision was taken to hand Weymouth Pavilion Theatre over to a community interest company run by local businessman Phil Say.
Phil’s venture is to be supported by a £150,000 loan from Weymouth and Portland Borough Council. It is expected that the lease will be signed within the next few days and once done we anticipate announcements from the new owners as to what’s planned in the near future.
