Locals and visitors enjoyed a fascinating week in which they watched areas of Weymouth Quayside transform back to 1940 with removal of all signs of the 21st century. Historic vehicles lined the harbour and a fleet of heritage small vessels in the main provided by local boat owners were moored along the quay wall. Meanwhile moored within the harbour the scene was brought even more to love by a number of historic tall ships brought in especially for the filming and even a WW2 Royal Navy frigate to complete the scene.

Celebrity spotters were also out in force with Harry Stiles, Cillian Murphy and Mark Rylance all being seen shooting in a number of scenes and spotted enjoying themselves wandering around Weymouth and enjoying the sights.

Location filming continued well into the night on each day of filming with the whole harbour lit as one giant set by what must be some of the best lighting technicians in the business because the scene was absolutely amazing.
